Little Cloud Maintenance

All BYSS snow machines will last for years if properly maintained. Below is a list of maintenance tips that we recommend to make sure your equipment lasts:

Clean Water Filter Regularly

Make sure sediment does not enter the snow gun and does not restrict the water. We recommend cleaning the black water filter every 3-4 snowmaking sessions. If you have unusually dirty house water, cleaning after each snowmaking session may be necessary.

Clean the Little Cloud Snow Gun

After several snow-making sessions, grab a wet cloth and wipe off the snow gun. This will remove any water deposits from the aluminum housing.

Check for plugged Snow Gun Nozzles

If you notice that water is not exiting one of the top 4 misting nozzles, there may be a small sediment plugging the nozzle. It is highly unlikely that nozzles will clog if the filter is used. However, if a nozzle is clogged, remove the misting nozzle and clean the sediment out. If the sediment is lodged in the nozzle opening, you may need a small needle to remove the rock with some force. Once the sediment is removed, replace the nozzle in the snow gun head (Use Teflon Tape to ensure no leaking).
