What You’ll Need

Before heading outside, gather the following equipment:

  • Little Cloud Snow Gun (water filter connected)

  • Snow Gun Stand

  • Standard Garden Hose

  • Air Compressor (minimum 4.5 CFM @ 90 PSI)

  • 10′ Air Hose (can be longer but may affect performance) – Learn More

  • Extension Cord (for compressor)

1. Set Up the Snow Gun Stand

Choose the spot where you want to make snow and position the included stand. Make sure your garden hose can reach from your water source (spigot) to the snow gun.

2. Connect the Water

  • Attach one end of the garden hose to your water spigot.

  • Attach the other end to the water filter on the Little Cloud.

  • Ensure all hose connections are tight and leak-free.

3. Position the Air Compressor

Place the air compressor near the snow gun so the air hose reaches comfortably. Avoid placing it directly downwind—snow blowback could cover the compressor.

Run your extension cord to a reliable power source and get ready to plug it in.

Important: Before turning on the compressor, make sure the tank is completely empty. Plugging in a full tank can freeze the nucleation nozzle.

4. Turn On the Water

With the compressor nearby (but still off), turn the water on at the spigot.

You should see:

  • Water spraying from all four top misting nozzles

  • A small, steady stream coming from the bottom nucleation nozzle

5. Connect Air Hose & Power On Compressor

Now that water is flowing:

  1. Plug in the air hose to the snow gun and compressor.

  2. Turn on the compressor.

The tank will begin building pressure. Within 2–4 minutes, the bottom nozzle will begin emitting a pressurized mix of air and water.

  • Target operating outlet air pressure: 60–100 PSI

  • If your compressor outputs more than 100 PSI or starts to overpower the water in the nucleation, you may need to regulate it to avoid overpowering the water. If this happens, you may also want to check your home water pressure to make sure it's not too low (50 PSI +).

6. Watch the Snow Build! ❄️

Once both water and air are flowing through the Little Cloud, snow will begin to form in the air and fall to the ground. In ideal conditions, you can expect around 0.7–1 inch of snow per hour over a 5 ft x 12 ft area.
