Once you have your snow gun, air compressor, and water source, you need the right hoses and fittings to connect everything together. These connections are what bring your entire snowmaking system together and get water and air flowing to your snow gun.
Backyard Snowstorm offers a variety of hoses, adapters, fittings, and quick-connects to make it easy to build a setup around your equipment.
What Do You Need?
Your hose and fitting requirements depend on the snow gun and equipment you're using.
The Little Cloud connects to a standard garden hose, while the Forecaster and Cold Front connect to a pressure washer or pump for water and an air compressor for air.
Both the Forecaster and Cold Front use a 3/8" male quick-connect water inlet and a 1/4" industrial male quick-connect air inlet.
If you're using your own equipment, you'll want to make sure you have the correct hoses and adapters to match those connections.
Use Rubber Hoses in Cold Weather
When temperatures drop, hose flexibility becomes important. We recommend rubber hoses for snowmaking because they remain more flexible in cold temperatures.
Rubber garden hoses, air hoses, and pressure washer hoses are all good choices for a backyard snowmaking setup.
Complete Packages Make Setup Easy
If you want to simplify the process, our complete snowmaking packages include the hoses and fittings needed for the system, so you can get everything connected and start making snow without having to track down every adapter yourself.
If you're using your own equipment, our Adapter Information page can help you determine which connections you'll need.
With the right hoses, fittings, and quick-connects, connecting your snowmaking equipment is straightforward—and you can build a system that works with the equipment you already have.
